Wohler AMP2-E16V 16 Channel Audio/Video Processing Monitor

Wohler announced the AMP2-E16V modular audio/video processing monitor at its Monday morning press conference. “We invented in-rack monitoring, and now we have changed the landscape forever,” said Wohler Technologies CEO and president Carl Dempsey.

Dempsey pointed to the expandability of the 2RU monitor. “You can take just the 3G and Dolby options and have a simple, straightforward 16-channel audio and video monitor,” he said. “But if you fill out the unit with addition modules, it becomes a whole different animal.”

Additional input/output modules include dual 3G, analog I/O, AES input and AES output.

With all of its capabilities, it was important to design the AMP2-E16V from the ground up with the menu in mind, said Jeff McNall, director of product management. He added that the OLED (organic light-emitting diode) screen has to be seen to be believed. “This is not backlit; it’s lit off the surface. So the viewing angles and colors are fantastic.”
