Highlighting China and India

Two sessions on April 22 will concentrate on a pair of nations offering tremendous international opportunities.
"The U.S. China Broadcasting Forum," 10–11:30 a.m., will highlight China's present electronic media landscape and the vision for its future in the industry.
A unique business opportunity as well, approximately 50 Chinese broadcast executives will be in attendance specifically to discuss trade potential with U.S. broadcast technology manufacturers. Speakers include Chief Engineer of China Central Television (CCTV) Ding Wenhua, and Vice Chairman of the Science & Technology Committee (SARFT) Du Baichuan.
"India: Transitioning to a Digital Future," 2–3 p.m., will look at India's role in the media and entertainment business. One of fastest adopters of new technology, India has embraced cost-effective digital technologies, overcome distribution inefficiencies and curb piracy. Outsourcing to India for gaming, animation and post-production-related services is also growing rapidly.
Panelists include India's Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Sushma Singh and Valuable Group's Executive Director Ameya Hete. Farokh Balsara, a partner and director with Ernst & Young Pvt. Ltd., will moderate.
