Anton/Bauer has achieved a pair of key certifications from the
International Organization for Standardization: the ISO 9001 Quality
Management Systems standard and the ISO 14001 Environmental
Management Systems standard.
The ISO 9001 requirements are among the strictest of the
organization’s approximately 13,000 standards and serve as a model
for quality assurance in all facets of Anton/Bauer’s business.
ISO 14001 addresses the identification and control of
environmental impacts.
Anton/Bauer announced the certifications at its Monday press
conference and celebration of the company’s 40th anniversary.
The company is also debuting its latest battery, the 120-watt-hour
Dionic HCX.
It features a built-in motion sensor: After a two-week period
without a load, the battery automatically goes into “deep sleep,”
reducing self-discharge and allowing extended storage with nearly
zero capacity loss.
To “awaken” the battery for normal use, customers need only
move the battery, thus activating the motion-detection feature.
Anton/Bauer also has plans to integrate the Dionic HCX with
its signature Battery Management System (AB-BMS), which will
allow users to program the inactivity time length prior to the battery
entering sleep mode.
