New features of Clipster include extended mezzanine
workflows that support MXF AS-02 as well as IMF
(Interoperable Master Format). This will enable postproduction
customers to add different tracks to a digital
master in accordance with the IMF standard. This includes
video, audio, subtitles as well as closed captions, allowing
different deliverables to be generated for DVD, Blu-ray,
SDTV, HDTV, IPTV and many other formats.
The JPEG2000 RGB/YUV data is compressed faster than
real time at a rate of 500 Mbps. Clipster also features an
expanded toolset in the area of 3D. With its high-quality
hardware, it generates 3D digital cinema packages in real time,
speeding up 3D subtitling in 4K as well as DCI mastering.
To assist with this, it features stereoscopic correction tools
that can be automated or controlled manually.
Venice, the multichannel video server for the broadcast
market, now also implements file-based workflows,
supporting both Apple Final Cut Pro as well as Avid ISIS with
Avid Interplay PAM (Production Asset Management).
